Q: Are there accommodations for pets?

A: There are several kennels nearby that accept pets. We will be happy to help you make the necessary arrangements.

Q: How long of a stay is necessary?

A: While the minimum stay is only two nights, most guests find they need at least four nights to enjoy all there is to do at The Country Place Resort, Zoom Flume Water Park and the surrounding area.

Q: What is your season of operation?

A: We are open from Father's Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. We are also open from Memorial Day Weekend through Father's Day Weekend for groups, family reunions, weddings, and business outings. We can create packages tailored to your needs and desires.

Q: Are there activities for families?

A: We offer nightly activities from pony rides, bonfires, pool parties, build your own ice cream sundaes, karaoke, bocce, bingo, outdoor movies - and so much more!

Q: Do you serve lunch?

A: Our packages include breakfast and dinner. Our families have found that this offers them the most flexibility. The Country Place Resort restaurant facility is open to purchase lunch and the food court at Zoom Flume Water Park is open daily as well.

Q: Do your meals cater to special dietary needs?

A: We can accommodate most diet plans with enough notice. We do not offer kosher meals.

Q: Are there Kitchenettes in the rooms?

A: As breakfast and dinner are included in all packages, kitchenettes are not necessary. Refrigerators are in every room. Access to a microwave is available by checking with the front desk.

Q: What is there to do during the day at the resort?

A: Besides having an unlimited access to Zoom Flume Water Park, we have a two-acre lake with pedal boats; there is fishing, volley ball, bocce, shuffleboard, basketball, biking and playgrounds. We also offer a heated outdoor pool. And of course there is plenty of lounging and enjoying the scenic beauty of the Catskill Mountains.

Q: Do I need a car at the resort?

A: Most people do arrive in there own vehicles. Trailways bus line has an arrival and departure location in nearby Cairo, NY. With advance notice we can provide complimentary pick-up and drop-off to the bus station. The Zoom Flume Water Park is conveniently located across the NEW Pedestrian Bridge, within easy walking distance. The Country Place Resort is in the Northern Catskill Mountains. The area is rolling countryside anda car is needed to travel to loacl area attractions and to any stores.

Q: Is medical help readily available?

A: We have volunteer ambulance services with EMTs and paramedics. Albany Medical Center and St. Peter’s Hospital are located in Albany 45 – 50 minutes away. Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson is located 35 minutes away. There is an urgent care center that is located closer in Coxsackie.
